Moran is a research staff member in the Decision Analytics Group in IBM Haifa Research Labs. His main focus is the exploration of future tooling for analytics and decision support. In the past, Moran researched component driven project estimation and calibration models. Amongst Moran's professional interest are: Machine Learning, Data Mining, Visual Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition techniques.
Prior to his current role in IBM, Moran was the founder of Eyaldo, a software-oriented start-up company dedicated to researching algorithms for the prediction of stock markets behavior as well as developing an autonomous trading platform. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Philips Medical Systems in which he led the development of Philips' Virtual Colonoscopy application
Moran holds B.A.and MSC. in Computer Science and a Master in Business Administration all from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
