My research interests are in the area of automated reasoning and planning, key building blocks of artificial intelligence. I am interested in developing automated reasoning and planning algorithms that can efficiently perform inference in complex domains. Some of the areas I have worked on include distributed planning and reasoning for multiagent coordination under uncertainty, sequential decision making, Markov decision processes, graphical models and machine learning.
I have a keen interest in trying to bring together planning and reasoning techniques to address some of the pressing problems in the emerging area of computational sustainability, which for example include smart traffic management, spatial conservation planning, smart grid management among others.
