Tanveer Afzal Faruquie is a senior research scientist in the Information Management group at IBM Research India, New Delhi. He has been with IBM since 1998 and has worked on a wide range of research and client projects. His expertise is in the area of Unstructured Information Management including Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction, Data Cleansing, Statistical Inference and Computer Vision. At IBM, he is currently working on data cleansing and single view creation using noisy structured and unstructured data from external sources like web and social media. In the past he has worked on Contact Centre Analytics, Statistical Machine Translation, Rapid Application Development and Multimodal Speech Recognition.
