I have been working on Healthcare projects within IBM Research in the Zurich and Nairobi labs since December 2013. Most recently I have been PI on a project to improve epidemic preparedness as part of the post-Ebola recovery strategy for Sierra Leone. The project was selected for one of USAID’s Ebola Grand Challenge awards. My academic interests are image processing, and increasingly data science and machine learning.
Prior to joining IBM I completed my MEng in Chemical Engineering and PhD in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge. My graduate research focused on the development of novel MRI pulse sequences and image segmentation methods for engineering applications of MRI.
