Andrew Rosenberg is a Research Staff Member in the Watson Multimodal Group at TJ Watson Research Center. Andrew's research is on Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis and Spoken Language Understanding, with an emphasis on how prosody (intonation) impacts spoken communication.

Andrew first joined IBM on a part time basis in 2010 to improve Speech Synthesis quality for the IBM Jeopardy! Challenge.  He joined full time in January 2016.

Between September 2009 and January 2016, he was an Assistant and later Associate Professor of Computer Science at CUNY Queens College and the CUNY Graduate Center. 

Andrew is currently a member of the IEEE Spoken Language Technical Committee (SLTC) and is a subject editor of Speech Communication.  He is an NSF CAREER award winner.
