Jie Lu's work focuses on building intelligent information retrieval and analytic technologies and systems. Her general research interests lie in the use and development of information retrieval and machine learning techniques for effective and efficient adaptive information processing, particularly personalized and context-sensitive approaches. Her other interests include information management, search, and processing in distributed environments such as enterprise networks, peer-to-peer file-sharing networks, and social networks. Jie received her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University.
