I am a Research Staff Member in the Multi-lingual Natural Language Processing Group at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. My main research interests are in Machine Learning and its applications to Natural Language Processing and Text Mining.
Prior to IBM, I served as a researcher at the NLP group of Stanford University with Prof. Chris Manning, and at SRI International. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2006, and did my post doctoral work at Carnegie Mellon University with Prof. John Lafferty and Prof. William Cohen. I also hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Bombay, India.
