Dr. Richard Goodwin is the Manager of the Business Service Informatics research group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Hawthorne, NY. The group's research focuses on modelling and analyzing businesses and business transformations. His research interests include semantic web services, intelligent agents for planning, scheduling and decision support. He was awarded the 1998 Wagner Prize in operations research for work on agent-based scheduling. His research has been published in numerous journals and conferences including the Journal of Logic and Computation, ICAPS, IEEE Robotics and Automation, WWW and the IBM Systems Journal.
