Research Staff Member at the Cloud and Computing Infrastructure at IBM Research Zurich. Working on distributed flash caching, flash controller optimizations, data deduplication, and storage class memories. Currently, I am interested in building efficient distributed data storage systems for commodity datacenters using non-volatile memories over fast interconnects.
Prior joining IBM, I did my PhD at the CArD group at the University of Edinburgh, supervised by Marcelo Cintra. My thesis focused on Thread-Level Speculation for multi-threaded applications running on a many-core shared memory processor, and on power management of such applications. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with a major in Computer Science.
