Taiwan Collaboratory - overview


IBM Taiwan Collaboratory for Wellness Cloud is a new research lab in Taiwan co-funded by IBM and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan. The main focus of collaboratory is cloud-enabled ecosystem-as-a-service for healthcare and related domains. Based in Taipei, Taiwan, and directed by Dr. Henry Chang, the Taiwan Collab will help address the modern-day challenges of keeping aging populations fit for years to come. The Taiwan Collab will feature ecosystem design and enablement to showcase wellness computing platforms (Platform-as-as-Service), which are powered by wellness domain-specific knowledge repositories and smarter wellness common services. The Taiwan Collab will join force with IBM Watson Research labs, as well as partner with industrial leaders and wellness service providers to create innovative wellness management services and applications (Software-as-a-Service).
