About the Workshop
IBM Research is hosting a student workshop on nonvolatile memories. The workshop will host top Ph.D. students working in the broad field of nonvolatile memories and their applications. Technical areas of interests include, but are not limited to:
- Information Theory and Signal Processing for Nonvolatile Memories
- Controller algorithms for nonvolatile memories
- Advanced coding techniques
- System architecture solutions for nonvolatile memories
- System software for exploiting nonvolatile memories
- Characterization of new memory technologies
The goals of this workshop are
- To create a multi-disciplinary event covering all engineering aspects involved in the design and use of nonvolatile memories
- To promote an exchange of research ideas between academia and IBM Research in this area
- To facilitate the growth of the nonvolatile memory research community
To this end, state of the art works from several disciplines will be presented by the students.
