Valves for autonomous microfluidic capillary systems

This paper reports a method for adding valves to autonomous microfluidic capillary systems (CSs). The valves have no moving parts and can seamlessly be integrated into capillary systems. These valves enable triggering, timing, or metering of liquids using capillary forces.
