Bruno Marques has joined IBM Research Australia in August 2015 as a Software Engineer. He has worked as a member and, later on, a leader of the Infrastructure Technologies and Services team responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure and developing solutions/tools to support research and development across different labs. He was also part of the Blockchain team delivering and ensuring the success of a blockchain-based platform to transform the bank guarantee process in Australia named Lygon. Moreover, Bruno Marques has contributed for the development of Hybrid Cloud solutions with the goal of delivering security and compliance to enterprise applications. The latest work on that area resulted in an open-source tool called Trestle that enables the creation and validation of documentation artefacts for compliance requirements.
Bruno completed his Bachelors in Computer Science in 2004 at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, and his Master in Software Engineering in 2017 at University of Melbourne.
He has also worked as an IT Specialist in the Global Business Services Group of IBM Global Services for 8 years. He has delivered solutions to a broad range of technology clients with emphasis on development of Java applications in web-based and stand-alone based environments.
Bruno is highly motivated by working with cutting edges technologies and software engineering techniques in order to build solutions that really matter for others and that make a positive impact on the world.
