Akihiro Kishimoto           

For over 20 years, my research interests have been Artificial Intelligence with effective use of parallel computing technologies. I am currently applying AI technologies to material discovery.

I joined IBM Research, Tokyo after working for IBM Research Europe in Ireland over 7 years. Prior to joining IBM Research, I worked as Assistant Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology and Future University-Hakodate in Japan.

I used to be a member of the GAMES Group at the Department of Computing Science, University of Alberta in Canada, where I received both PhD and MSc degrees. Also, I obtained a BSc degree from the Department of Information Science, Faculty of Science, the University of Tokyo in Japan.
