I am currently a Research Staff Member in the Optimized Cloud Infrastructure Group at IBM Research - Austin Lab.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from State University of New York at Binghamton in August 2018. My advisor was Madhusudhan Govindaraju. My Ph.D. work was on optimizing storage mechanisms of NoSQL databases with coherently attached flash(CAPI-Flash).
My current research focuses on accelerating high performance distributed databases and big data frameworks by exploiting IBM POWER specific features such as on-chip compression accelerators or coherently attached flash.
I am specifically working on optimizing Apache Cassandra(a popular NoSQL database), IBM DB2 Event Store(in-memory database) and Apache Spark.
