Woodstock 50 was a planned American music festival that was scheduled to be held on August 16–18, 2019, at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.[1] The event was intended as a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music & Art Fair, a landmark festival that was held on August 15–17, 1969, in Bethel, New York. Just prior to its cancellation, it was announced the event had been reduced from three days to one day.[2] Woodstock 50 was canceled on July 31, 2019, after a series of permit and production issues, venue relocations, and artist cancellations.

Don’t lose hope! The town of Bethel is holding its own tribute to Woodstock this year, also taking place Aug. 15-18, on the same fields on which the original festival was held. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts has a planned weekend of activities on site, and the nearby Museum at Bethel Woods has special exhibits on Woodstock history
