Dr. Declan Millar is a research scientist at IBM Research Europe and is based at Hursley in the UK. His interests broadly center on artificial intelligence and include neural network architectures, graph-based machine learning, reinforcement learning, hyperdimensional computing, and neuromorphic computing.
Declan holds a Ph.D. in Particle Physics jointly awarded by the University of Southampton and Queen Mary University of London. His doctoral research explored theoretical models that embed new particles and how these might be discovered at the Large Hadron Collider. He has a personal interest in quantum algorithms.
