I am a research scientist with the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, NY, USA, as of January 2018. My current research interests include communication systems, machine learning security, and signal processing.
I joined IBM Research – Zurich, Switzerland, in April 2013 as a predoctoral researcher, where I conducted research at the frontiers of digital integrated circuit design with signal processing, communication theory, and coding theory to improve the error-rate performance of high-speed communication links.
I received the degrees of B.Sc. in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent Üniversitesi, Turkey, in May 2010, M.Sc. cum Laude in electronics engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in December 2012, and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, in June 2017. Between July 2017 and December 2017, I was a postdoctoral research scientist with Columbia University, NY, USA.
