Konstantinos Semertzidis           

Konstantinos Semertzidis is a Research Engineer in the Cognitive IoT team at IBM's Dublin Research Laboratory since February 2019. Prior to joining DRL, he was working as an Application Developer at IBM Client Innovation Centre UK, on Inventory Linking Exports/ Re-arrivals project of HM Revenue and Customs.

Konstantinos holds a PhD (with honors) from the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering of the University of Ioannina in Greece, where he worked under the supervision of Prof. E Pitoura. His research interests include Interent of Things (IoT), evolving graph data management, query processing, graph databases, and social network analysis. In these areas, his works has been published in TKDE, ICDE, EDBT, etc.

During his PhD studies he has worked as a Research Intern at IBM Research and Nokia Bell Labs. Before his PhD, he obtained his BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Ioannina in 2012, and his MSc (with Merit) in Computing from the University of York in 2013.
