Lei Huang joined the IBM Research - Almaden as a research staff member in May 2017. He got his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Delaware. His research has mainly focused on Bioinformatics, specifically analyzing complex biological network based on machine learning, statistical modeling and graph theory. His research results/findings have been published in various academic journals and conferences, such as BMC Bioinformatics, IEEE TCBB, Plos One, IEEE BIBM and so on. He is also actively serving as the reviwer and program committe member for multiple academic journals and conferences.
He worked as a research intern at IBM Research - Almaden in 2016, and his work on mobile analytics has been awarded the runner-up prize. By doing various academic and industrial projects, he has rich experience of analyzing and modeling various kinds of data including text, sequence, graph, etc. Currently, he focus on developing novel methods/systems for enhancing business intelligence in the Re*Think Enterprise team. Some main projects including IBM CBM.next, IBM Travel Concierge and IBM Traveler Central.
