Lei Yu is a Research Staff Member at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research. His research interests include data privacy, big data analytics & systems, the security and privacy of machine learning, large-scale machine learning systems, and deep learning.
He received his Ph.D. on the topic of big data privacy and differential privacy in deep learning from the School of Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019. He received his B.S, M.S, and also first Ph.D. in the area of wireless networks from the Department of Computer Science & Technology at Harbin Institute of Technology.
