Maeda F. Hanafi was born in Connecticut, U.S.A. in 1996. In 2012, Maeda received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Southern Connecticut State University, where she received the Academic Excellency Award in Computer Science. In 2015, she began pursuing her Doctorate degree in Computer Science at New York University under the supervision of Dr. Azza Abouzied.
Maeda’s research work focuses on building automated data analysis systems and interfaces, utilizing techniques from program synthesis, databases, and human-computer interactions. Her work focuses on building intuitive user interfaces and data visualizations for various applications such as information extraction and error debugging.
