Serena Chen is a postdoctoral research fellow in IBM Research Healthcare and Life Sciences under Ruhong Zhou. Her research focuses on the applications of molecular modeling and Molecular Dynamics simulations in nanomedicine and nanotoxicity.
She received her Ph. D. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. Her previous research involved designing computational algorithms to study protein sequence-structure relationship, protein stability and conformational transition reactions using bioinformatics and Molecular Dynamics simulations.
Her current research interests are in the area of computational structural biology, particularly in understanding the molecular interactions at bio-nano interfaces.
