I work as a Quantum Computing Applications Researcher at IBM Quantum. In this role, I collaborate with quantum computing startups to drive research projects looking at possible near-term applications of quantum computers, as well as tools for improving performance. Prior to joining IBM Quantum, I received my Physics PhD from the University of New Mexico in September 2018, where I worked with Robin Blume-Kohout on the topics of quantum characterization, validation, and verification. In 2012, I received a BS in Physics from the California Institute of Technology. In addition, I am an advisory board member to the Unitary Fund, a non-profit working to create a quantum technology ecosystem that benefits the most people.
