I am a mathematical modeller and data scientist with a background in weather and climate impacts. Prior to joining IBM Research in 2018, I worked on a number of academic research projects across multiple appliction areas, including hydrology, epidemiology, and extensive work developing and applying models to predict the impact of climate change and climate variability on vector-borne disease. I have technical expertise in writing, configuring, validating, and evaluating weather and climate impact models at prediction timescales of days to decades. My current research interests are focused on the application of artificial intelligence to geospatial problems, in particular using big data analytics and machine learning to produce better weather and climate impact predictions for decision-making, including the estimation of uncertainty.
