I have a Ph.D. in Informatics and I am a Research Software Engineer at IBM Research Brasil. I work in a multidisciplinary team whose main goal is to advance the state-of-the-art in Knowledge Engineering for AI systems, especially in the knowledge representation field.
In my job, I have to combine my academic background with my software engineering skills. Therefore, I'm always reading and publishing papers related to the research carried out in our group, as well as developing tools and assets that incorporate theoretical research findings into production-ready software built using best software engineering practices.
During my doctorate, I have worked at the TeleMídia Lab (PUC-Rio) in the evolution and maintenance of the Ginga-NCL middleware reference implementation, which has become international standards: ITU-T H.761 Recommendation for IPTV Services and ISDB-Tb.
My main research interests are: multimedia systems, reactive/synchronous systems, knowledge engineering and representation for AI, privacy and security.
