I am a Research Staff Member IBM Research AI at the AI Composition Lab, Cambridge (MA) and a Ph.D. candidate at Arizona State University with Professor Subbarao Kambhampati. My research interests include human-AI interaction, especially planning with humans in the loop, with applications in task planning for human-robot teaming and cohabitation and decision support.
My research (published in premier international venues including IJCAI, AAAI, ICAPS, AAMAS, IROS, and ICRA) has been recognized with back to back IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Awards, several University Graduate Fellowship Awards, and extensive media coverage in Arizona PBS, ZDNet, ACM Technews, etc. I was also the team lead of ÆRobotics which featured in the US Finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2017.
I will be serving as the Publicity Chair for ICAPS'19. I am also a continuing member of the PC for the IJCAI'17-18 Workshops on Explainable AI (XAI); ICAPS'17-18 Workshop Series and a member of the Review Process Committee of IJCAI'16 as well as a member of the IJCAI'18 and AAAI'18-19 Program Committees. I have co-chaired the Workshop on Multi-agent Interaction without Prior Coordination (MIPC) at AAMAS'17 as well as the first-ever Workshop on Virtual, Augmented and Mixed-Reality for Human-Robot Interaction (VAM-HRI) at HRI'18.
Details about my research is available at http://www.public.asu.edu/~tchakra2/.
