I am a Research Staff Member at IBM Research, currently leading research activities within Project Debater, focusing on semantic similartity and argumentation mining. My research includes computational linguistics, computational biology machine learning and statistical physics.
I received my Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Bar-Ilan University in 2001. In 2002 I was a postdoctoral fellow at Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de l'Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris, and from 2003 to 2006 I was a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Consultant at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Since 2006, I have been working as a research scientist in the hi-tech industry, starting off at Intel Research, and then joining IBM's Haifa Research Lab in 2010.
