Lior Turgeman is a research scientist at IBM Haifa research labs. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering on 2013. During his doctoral studies he had worked on developing new data analytics techniques and algorithms to improve the performance of biomedical measurement and imaging systems. During the years 2013 through 2016, Dr. Turgeman worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, and later as a senior research scientist, on developing machine learning methodologies and health care analytics framework, for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) hospital system. Dr. Turgeman's research experience lies in the area of data science, stochastic analysis, and algorithms, ranging from theory to design to implementation, with a focus on application-driven systems. Dr. Turgeman has published papers in leading professional journals and conferences in the field of Data Analytics and Machine Learning, in which he also serves as a peer reviewer. He is currently involved in data science activities at the IoT and Cloud Technologies department.
