  • Joined as a Software Engineer in IBM Global services, Bangalore on Dec 2000 through campus hiring.
  • Currently working as a Cloud Solutions Architect in IBM Global Hybrid Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) organization. In this role, I work with client/sales teams and provide my expertise primarily in the following areas –
    • Understanding requirements, developing, and driving a win strategy for cloud deals worldwide.
    • Systematically understand, develop, and document cloud technical requirements and analyze the gaps.
    • Identify workloads to be moved to the cloud and design a cloud architecture based on IBM Cloud (public/private) and other public cloud offerings (GCE/Azure/AWS/Ali) and assets.
    • Identify integration points, challenges, issues, workarounds, and dependencies.
    • Sizing and costing of the solution elements including managed services
    • Put architecture into practice by producing key deliverables of the Cloud solution such as functional & non-functional requirements, architecture overview diagram, architectural decisions, and viability assessment.
    • Evaluate the solution through global review boards to ensure the integrity of the overall solution provided.
  • Have experience in constructing response to RFPs (TCV > $500M) by working with various SMEs under storage, network, security, resiliency and day-2 services/delivery organizations.
  • Have worked as an Enterprise/Chief Architect for key client engagements in the telecom, automobile and financial industries and have successfully implemented the cloud solution (on/off-Prem and Hybrid) both in India and EMEA regions.
  • Hands-on with various public cloud kubernetes offerings such as IKS, GKE, EKS, Cloud PKS, and AKS. Well versed with on-premise K8S offerings such IBM Cloud Private (ICP), RedHat OCP and VMware PKS.
  • Have provided cloud solutions where application modernization (leveraging Kubernetes/Container technologies) and driving automation (via Terraform/Ansible/Chef) along with DevOps & CI/CD are the key requirements in scope. Have also played key role in the solution implementation of the same until steady state.
  • Being a networking focal/SME in the Cloud CoE organization, have designed complex network architectures in the client engagements. In my recent engagement (1Q2019), for one of the large Australian banks, I was responsible for providing the Low-Level Design covering the network connectivity between the client’s on-premise datacenters and the IBM Cloud via the Equinix cloud exchange at Sydney and Melbourne locations.
  • IBM Corporate Service Corps (CSC) experience: Volunteered to provide Communications, Marketing and Advocacy Strategy for the Department of e-Government in Johannesburg, South Africa in the year 2016.

  • Have represented as speaker at IBM’s Largest Technical Event (Technical Leadership Exchange – TLE) and conducted sessions on “Journey To Cloud” and have been adjudged as the best presentation in the year 2010 on the topic “Our experience in Transforming a large traditionally managed IT infrastructure to a Cloud based one”.
