Rosie is a software engineer within the Emerging Technology group, a unique division of IBM Research tasked with bridging the gap between research and business. Rosie works closely with clients to articulate and deliver new business solutions, building first of a kind and prototype systems using the latest technologies.
Rosie's notable work includes delivering a pioneering solution for the 2017 Wimbledon Championships marketing campaign. The solution analysed 53 million data points using IBM Watson to understand, reason and learn what it takes to be the greatest Wimbledon champion. Overall the campaign drove 2M new engagements. This contribution was recognized externally at the FDM Everywomen Awards, where she was a finalist for the Software Engineer category for making a significant difference to the art of software engineering.
