Luis (Danny) Bathen is a Research Staff Member at IBM, independent App developer, Blockchain evangelist and consultant. His research focus is in the areas of software defined infrastructures, high-assurance cloud services, deep learning, internet of things, blockchain, and cyber security. He is a research group lead in the areas of Blockchain solutions, identity, and cloud analytics. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Ronald E. McNair Fellow, Intel/GEM Fellow, and NSF CyberCorps Fellow. Danny has worked in various research settings over the course of his career (Intel Labs, IBM Research, and US Navy). Danny serves as co-chair for SIGDA/ACM’s CADathlon programming competition and is a PC member for various research conferences and symposium in the field of embedded systems and design automation.
