I work on the PAIRS Geoscope team (https://ibmpairs.mybluemix.net/). The Geoscope is a data and analytics platform for creating geospatial applications and is part of the Watson Decision Platform. The foundation of the Geoscope is an extensive and queryable database of multiband satellite and aerial imagery, weather forecasts, and other IOT and sensor data. Applications center around agriculture, vegetation management, and insurance. My work centers on the underlying system for data storage and high performance exploration and query retrieval.
