My fundamental research interests are in artificial intelligence. I am interested in learning/extracting useful representations of semi/un-structured data that can enable downstream cognitive applications. I am fascinated by artificial neural networks and deep learning.
In the past, I have worked on a wide variety of topics including distributed storage, coding theory, low complexity wireless network algorithms, search engines/information retrieval, theoretical computer science, computational geometry and image processing.
I have a PhD from EPFL, a Masters from Princeton University and a Bachelors from IIT Kharagpur. I received the Best Paper Award at ACM-Mobihoc 2013, the President of India Gold Medal at IIT and have an Erdos number of 3.
