In 2014, David joined the Cognitive User Experience research team in Cambridge, where he contributed his data visualization expertise to a First of a Kind (FOAK) engagement with a leading New England financial institution providing Visual Analytics for Governance, Risk and Compliance. He has also developed WebSockets technology for synchronized, multi-channel business intelligence, educational technology and digital storytelling proof of concepts, as well as research into using Watson technologies for cognitive assistants.
David founded one of Silicon Alley's first interactive agencies, SiteSpecific, in 1995, and was a member of the first and second generation web development teams for Barnes & Noble, where he specialized in creating online author chat rooms.
David holds a B.A. degree in Urban Studies from Macalester College.
