Drew S. Vandeth           

I am a senior research scientist in the quantum algorithms, applications and theory group at IBM Research. I am a mathematician with interests in the mathematics of quantum physics and quantum computing with a current focus on quantum error correction. I am particularly interested in the high performance computing aspects required for quantum computing. Proir to joining IBM I was the founder and Deputy Director of the Tutte Institute for Mathematics and Computing. I completed my PhD in Pure Mathematics at Maquarie University in 2000 and was advised by Alfred van der Poorten. I have an B.Math degree and a Masters degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and was advised by Cameron Stewart.
