I received my Ph.D. degree from George Washington University in 2013 (Advisor: Timothy Wood). I interned at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and AT&T Labs-Research in 2012 and 2013 summers, respectively. My research on networked distributed systems and IT service management has had a significant impact with 45+ papers at top conferences and journals. I have filed 40+ patents in the corresponding research fields and won 4 best paper awards.
I have served more than 35 international conferences as a TPC member and acted as an external reviewer for 24 journals. I have mentored three students from prestigious universities such as Columbia University, Michigan State University, and Berkeley University, and published papers and patents together with them. I am also an advocate to knowledge transfer to the next generation, thus working as a technical translator (11 technical books) from English to Korean to deliver technologies for early adopters.
