Ning Li obtained his B.Sc. with honor from Tsinghua University and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, TX. He is a Research Staff Member at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. His research work is related to compound semiconductors for optoelectronics and electronics, flexible and new form factor devices and systems, quantum communication and computing, organic electronics and optoelectronics, memory technologies and their applications in neuromorphic computing, etc. He was awarded more than 200 US and world patents, multiple IBM High Value Patent Awards, IBM Invention Achievement Awards for more than fifty times, and Master Inventor Awards for two consecutive terms in 2016 and 2019. He served on the editorial board for Nanophotonics and as a principal editor for MRS Advances.
