Ning Li obtained his B.Sc. from Tsinghua University and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, TX. He is a Research Staff Member at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. His current research work is related to analog memory chips and their applications in neuromorphic computing, advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration, flexible and new form factor devices and systems, novel photonic devices for various communication and quantum applications, organic electronics, etc. He was awarded more than 200 US and world patents, multiple IBM High Value Patent Awards, IBM Invention Achievement Awards for more than fifty times, and multiple Master Inventor Awards. He served on international conference committees, the editorial board for Nanophotonics, and as an editor for MRS publications.
