Mark D. Feblowitz received the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Communication Sciences from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1980 and the Master of Software Engineering degree from The Wang Institute of Graduate Studies, Tyngsborough, Massachusetts in 1987, where he graduated with honors from the first acredited degree-granting Software Engineering Masters program in the US. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer in the Automated Component Assembly Middleware group in the Exploratory Stream Analytics department at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, with his main office in Cambridge, MA. Previously he worked at Frictionless Commerce during 2001-2003, GTE Laboratories (and then Verizon Laboratories) from 1982 to 2001, and Hewlett Packard during 1980-1982. His research interests lie primarily in semantic technologies, knowledge representation and reasoning, and stream computing. Mark's current work focuses on providing current state awareness for the Scenario Planning Advisor, a future states projection capability.
