Marcus Freitag           

Marcus Freitag is a Research Staff Member in the Physical Analytics group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, New York. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physics & Astronomy in 2002 from the University of Pennsylvania. Marcus Freitag holds a “Diplom” in Physics from the University of Tübingen, Germany (1998), and a M.S. in Physics from the University of Massachusetts (1996). After postdoctoral work for Carbon Nanotechnologies, Inc. he joined the Research Division of IBM in 2004.

Dr. Freitag has recently been working on Geospatial Analytics, in particular on topics around Agriculture.
