I am a member of the DeepQA research team working on various problems in natural language processing. The current focus of my work is patient-specific question answering from electronic medical records to help physicians with clinical decision making.
Check out our EMNLP 2018 paper that releases a community-shared large-scale dataset for question answering on electronic medical records.
I am looking for a grad intern for summer 2019 to work on an interesting NLP problem on EMR QA. Email me if interested.
Bio: I received a PhD in Computer Science from The Ohio State University in 2014 where I worked on temporal reasoning and coreference resolution problems in unstructured clinical narratives. This resulted in my PhD thesis titled "Temporal Reasoning and Information Fusion in Longitudinal Clinical Narratives".
I am based in Cambridge, MA.
