I am Senior Manager Mathematical Sciences in the Business Analytics and Mathematical Sciences Department in IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. In this capacity I lead a group of Computer Scientists, Mathematicians and Operation Researchers in activities combining world class basic research with the design and
implementation of state of the art software in areas such as optimization under uncertainty, algorithms, mathematical programming and high performance computing with application in personnel and vehicle
scheduling, production planning, supply chain management and smart transportation.
I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science at the Technion and received my PhD in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University in 1987. I then joined IBM as a post doctoral fellow and later became a Research Staff Member. My main research interests are combinatorial optimization and
approximation algorithms and their applications to real life problems.
