Taiga Nakamura           

Taiga Nakamura has over nineteen years of experience in computer science and software engineering. He has been research scientist at IBM Research since he joined IBM in 1999. Since April 2013, he is a Research Staff Member and Research Manager at IBM Almaden Research Center (ARC), where he presently manages and leads Cloud Services Analytics Research group.

He is currently driving research projects on various key aspects of solution design, such as AI/cognitive & model-based solutioning, deals win prediction, solution competitiveness, requirements and knowledge management in Cloud, IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) and other business areas. In addition to traditional foundational research, he has a great deal of “in-situ” research experience in a mix of industry and academia, working with clients and a wide range of business industry practitioners to understand critical, yet ill-defined real-world problems, identify gaps and opportunities, and bring in fundamental concepts to practice by designing and developing innovative technical solutions.
