Chun-chen (Frank) Yeh received Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Yale University in 2008. Since then he has joined IBM Research at Albany Nanotech focusing on advanced CMOS technology R&D. He is the recipient of IBM Eminence and Excellence award for the achievement in extending silicon device scaling, and has been elected as IBM Master Inventor for the outstanding contribution to corporate IP portfolio. His current research interest is in the transistor architecture design for power/performance enhancement at 5nm node and beyond, and has also recently delved into IBM strategic new initiatives in the area of cognitive computing hardware solutions for IBM system AI platform, specifically in the neuromorphic chip design with both CMOS technology and emerging NVM devices, as well as ML algorithm development for deep learning processor implementation.
