Weizhong Zhu began his career at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in 2005 as a contributor to the IBM MASTOR (Multilingual Automatic Speech-to-Speech Translator) system. He is currently working on audio analytics, topics include signal processing, audio segmentation, speaker / language identification and sepaker diarization. Dr. Zhu received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Utsunomiya University, Utsunomiya, Japan, in 1998. He was a post-doctoral research fellow at INRS-Telecommunication, University of Quebec, Canada, between 2003 and 2005. Previously Dr. Zhu worked at the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), Panasonic Corporation, Kyoto, Japan and VerbalTek Inc., San Jose, USA.
