Weizhong Zhu began his career at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in 2005 as a contributor to the IBM MASTOR (Multilingual Automatic Speech-to-Speech Translator) system. He is currently working on audio analytics, topics include signal processing, audio segmentation, and speaker and language identification. Dr. Zhu received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Utsunomiya University, Utsunomiya, Japan, in 1998. He was a post-doctoral research fellow at INRS-Telecommunication, University of Quebec, Canada, between 2003 and 2005. Previously Dr. Zhu worked at the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), Panasonic Corporation, Kyoto, Japan and VerbalTek Inc., San Jose, USA.
