Giorgia Dellaferrera joined the IBM Research – Zurich Lab in 2020 as a PhD student in the Neuromorphic Computing and I/O Links groups. She is participating in a joint PhD program between the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), the University of Zurich and the IBM Research – Zurich Lab.
Her current research focus is on developing algorithms for spiking neural networks and their real-world AI applications.
Giorgia holds a M.Sc. in Applied Physics from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and has served as a research intern at the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology (Japan), Logitech, the Swiss Space Center, and Imperial College London.
In her free time, she has worked as a dancer and dance instructor, and has taught Italian as a foreign language.
