Clarissa Convertino is a pre-doctoral researcher in the Materials Integration & Nanoscale Devices (MIND) group of the Science & Technology department at the IBM Research Laboratory in Zurich.

Her research focuses on steep-slope tunnel devices (TFETs) and CMOS technology based on III–V semiconductors.

Her main research interests are nanoscience, microelectronics, electron devices and solid-state physics.

Clarissa Convertino received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino and her double M.Sc. degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs from Politecnico di Torino and Quantum devices from Paris Diderot University (Paris 7).

She came to IBM as a Master’s student in 2016 and then started her PhD within the E2SWITCH and INSIGHT projects in collaboration with Prof. Adrian Ionescu (EPFL, Lausanne).
