Slavisa Sarafijanovic           

Slavisa Sarafijanovic received a Ph.D. degree in 2008, from EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, in the domains of networking security and communications filtering, for his thesis "Artificial Immune System for The Internet". He obtained an Innogrant fund from EPFL and worked as a postdoc for one year at the same institution on practical aspects of the same topics.

Since 2009, he is with IBM Research Zurich, focusing on the design and development of tiered storage.

He was is one of the principal developers of LTFS Enterprise Edition (product page), a software that integrates disk and tape storage.

His current research interest is in integration of low-cost high-latency media with object storage.
