Stephan Schneider is Executive Briefing Consultant at the Client Center Research at IBM Research – Zurich. In this function, he meets with key business executives from different industries and leading thinkers of technical institutions from around the world. Together, they explore how emerging technologies will affect business and society in the years to come, and propose novel approaches for the use of new technologies. Stephan Schneider facilitates hundreds of innovation workshops with board members and senior executives of the largest European companies in the industrial, electronics, automotive and telecom industries.
As Lab advocate for the electronic industry, he is engaged in several innovation projects with European electronic companies.
From 2000 to 2007, he was global sales manager for industrial multinational clients. Prior to that he built up a new business unit in IBM Switzerland for Product Lifecycle Management and headed it for five years. In 1990 Stephan joined IBM Switzerland as a System Engineer.
He received his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich in 1990.
