Dr. Roy Daron Cideciyan received the Dipl.-Ing. degree from Aachen University of Technology, Germany, in 1981 and the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1982 and 1985, respectively.
He joined the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in 1986, where he has worked on signal processing and coding for hard-disk drives, high-speed local-area networking, wireless communications, Ethernet standards, and magnetic tape storage.
His publications can be viewed on his Google Scholar profile.
In January 2010, he was elected Fellow of the IEEE.
